How to Choose a Paintball Bunker

The outdoor sport paintball is usually played at field locations called paintball fields. These fields charge players a fee to use the premises and usually offer equipment rental. Some paintball enthusiasts, however, choose to make their own fields. If you own a large piece of land suitable for paintball play, this is certainly an option for you. When creating your very own paintball field, you'll definitely need a paintball bunker, probably even more than one. Bunkers are structures that give players something to hide behind.

One of the most popular types of bunkers are the inflatable ones. Inflatable bunkers are a snap to set up, can be easily transported, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. One affordable choice is R2 3 Bunker Set. This set costs around $140 and comes with three different inflatable bunkers. You'll get one six foot tall bunker, and two four foot tall bunkers. Each one can stand on its own or they can be attached together. The material these bunkers are made from is designed to stand up to even the coldest weather and remain durable. The bottoms are double layered, to prevent puncture from sharp objects. With this set of bunkers, you'll get stakes and cords to secure them to the ground.

Another great bunker kit is the one made by Kingman. For around $170, you get three inflatable bunkers. Two of them are three feet by three feet, while the other one is approximately five feet by three feet. Like the kit from R2, this bunker kit also comes with the stakes and cords required to secure the bunkers to the ground. These are also durable and simple to inflate and deflate. And, they can also be attached together or used separately. You can, of course, find individual bunkers in different sizes, but buying several in kit form is often the most economical way to go.

When shopping for a paintball bunker, you'll often find the widest selection if you get online. There are lots of different vendors on the Internet that sell them, at a variety of price ranges. The other alternative is to make your own, which some crafty paintballers have chosen to do. Or, you could combine some homemade bunkers with some inflatable ones for a totally customized paintball field!
