Why You Should Use Paintball Mics
![]() |
Anyone who's ever played the sport of paintball before will most likely tell you that it's a great deal of fun. Paintball involves putting players into teams, who then try to eliminate members of the opposing team by hitting them with a paintball fired from a paintgun, or marker. Usually, the object is to capture the opposing team's flag, although there are other types of games as well. There are even scenario games that involve hundreds of players and last for days. Equipment is crucial to the sport of paintball, and includes the basics like paintballs, markers and safety gear. There are also optional accessories, like ball carriers, gun scopes and even paintball mics.
Paintball mics are designed to allow teammates to communicate more effectively. Classic paintballers and scenario players alike can benefit from the use of a mic. Mics resemble headphones and contain earpieces for hearing and mouthpieces for speaking. Many of the mics on the market these days are push-to-talk, which means you simply hold down a button when you need to say something. The best quality ones are designed to filter out background noise and make it easy for players to hear even the lowest whisper. If you're concerned about talking to your teammates and planning your strategy without being detected, a mic is perfect for you. Also, mics allow you to communicate with team members who are a far distance from you. If you're currently using a traditional radio or walkie-talkie, you should consider switching to a mic.
Mics are better than traditional radios because they allow you to talk hands-free. You can communicate with team members while running or even shooting your marker. For tournament play, mics are not thought of as optional accessories, but necessary pieces of equipment. They can be purchased most anywhere you find paintball supplies. Many people buy their paintball supplies online, as there are lots of specialty shops and etailers catering to paintball on the Internet.
As you can see, there are many benefits to using paintball mics. Because they're so popular with paintballers lately, you'll find a wide variety of them on the market. Usually, you can purchase one for around $50, although you may find models that cost more or less.
